A quiz to amuse, divert, to pass an idle moment, to entertain, to try your memory and on which to cogitate, ponder, mull over and endeavour to pinpoint the dates of recent Thurrock History. It is to that esteemed chronicler of portentous, profound, prodigious and popular events, the Thurrock Gazette, formerly the Grays and Tilbury Gazette, that thanks must go for providing the source of these tantalizing and thought-provoking questions which span from 1884, when the paper was launched for the edification of the eager populace, to the present day.
