Grays High Street - then and now

Part of the High Street circa 1900 ...	... and again circa 2000

Looking at the larger picture (below) it is difficult to believe that we are looking at the same place, but examining the windows and doorway of the Theobolds Arms in the two pictures above show that it is the same building. All of the surrounding buildings from 1900 have gone and even the direction of the street has changed.
